Oregon refuses to play along with my plans to fake
Spring. The weather has, instead, gotten
progressively colder and wetter as the week has gone on. I snuck some sandals in on Tuesday but was
forced back to boots today:
The good news? I was
able to wear the boots sans tights. Here
in Oregon, we call that progress. In
addition to boots (Born Crown “Sosie” via Nordstrom), I wore a rose-colored
skirt (thrifted, and hemmed by me) paired with a multi-colored sheer blouse
(Liberty Love via Nordstrom Rack) and a studded belt (Michael Michael Kors via
Nordstrom).
The better news? This
long, cold, wet week is nearly done.
Happy Thursday, All!
Gracey

Ooooh in SF we call that progress as well. Skirts/dresses sans tights is BIG.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the weekend. Plus it's supposed to be "warm." Might get to bare my legs... eeeeeee!
P.S. Adorable outfit. Also in my post from Monday, one of my poses reminded me of you :)
It's supposed to be 70 degrees in Oregon this weekend! So you'll finally be able to bust out your sandals :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the print of your shirt - itʻs perfect with the rose skirt. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry that you didn't get the extra warm weather that you were hoping for, but this outfit is SO cute! I love the rose hues :)
ReplyDeleteIn Houston, we call cold weather (specifically, ahem, "Winter") a miracle! But, yeah, I agree that it sucks to be teased by Mother Nature. But you still look cute!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about Thursdays. I work from home on Fridays, so in effect Thursday evenings always feel like the start of my weekend. I like the blouse!
ReplyDeleteSeattle is also cold and dreary. I've been having mixed feelings about boots. I just don't WANT to wear them anymore because I don't want Spring to think I've given up on it. But I did booties as a compromise today. No tights is a good compromise, too!

We had the tiniest cold snap (60 degrees one morning) so is it wrong that made me jealous of you still being able to wear boots? I especially love them with this whole outfit. Stripes in navy and pink--I'm in.
ReplyDeleteHaha, sounds like Wisconsin weather, too! That's ok...you look lovely!
ReplyDeleteminnesota has done the same thing and i'm not too happy. hopefully we will both get some sunshine this weekend! have a great one!
ReplyDeleteI KNOW. But sunshine for the next two days. Too bad I have to work!

Oh Gracey, I am loving this outfit! Just the perfect dose of pattern and print. That skirt looks like something you could wear all summer long.

PROGRESS! I love explaining to people in other parts of the country how it is that I am still dressing this way. Anywho, here's to our next week of bipolar weather, eh? At least you look absolutely adorable in this outfit of yours. (:
