Although I have reduced my shopping (yes, even my thrifting)
quite a bit, I can’t seem to stop buying sweaters. Like this one:
The good news is that I really love the sweaters I buy. And today’s sweater is no exception:
I just think this sweater is so cool. I love the pattern and I even like the
subdued colors. But, the best part is
that the front and the back are different:

Yes, that’s right, I
look awesome both coming and going.
Because this sweater (nic + zoe via Nordstrom Rack) is so
interesting, I kept the rest of the outfit fairly simple, pairing it with black
skinny jeans (a.n.a via JC Penny) and houndstooth flats (Old Navy via
Goodwill). The addition of the houndstooth
being, of course, the difference between simple
and fairly simple.
So, yes, I probably do need to stop buying sweaters. But this one was less than $20 at Nordstrom
Rack and it usually retails for $130.00.
Surely no one expects me to pass up a sweater when it’s both cool and inexpensive. Right?
Happy Monday, Everyone!

I wouldn't pass that sweater up either! It's great on you. You've got the geometric thing going on and a touch of ombre! And like you said, it's easy to style!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that sweater! This is such a great look for you, Gracey!

Lol! It IS a cool sweater. I'm awful at buying sweaters, I pretty much wind up buying the same grey sweater every time and not wearing them. I think we all have our weaknesses. *cough*boots*cough*
ReplyDeletei totally get being sweater obsessed. that was me last fall! only difference is that it's 80 degrees here...just doesn't make sense to stock up on sweaters, lol! this one was a great find. i really do like the design of it as well.

Completely worth it! Great pairing with the shoes, too!
ReplyDeleteThat is probably the coolest sweater I've ever seen that I didn't knit myself...and it even beats some of the ones I did!
ReplyDeleteRight! Fabulous sweater! Besides its interest-from-all-angles, it rocks the ombre, and I love it with the houndstooth flats.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your welcome-back comment, Gracey! It made my day, I missed you too!
I love a good sweater, and especially at a humongous bargain like that. And in a neutral color mix? You can wear it with SO MANY THINGS.
ReplyDeleteYou had to have this sweater, Gracey - and "cheaper than dinner" (one of my favorite justifications) : > You look fabulous, wear it in great spirits!
ReplyDeletewhat a great graphic print and i love that it is a totally different print on the other side
ReplyDeletei am about over sweaters myself, ready for different clothing!

I love this sweater in all of its zig-zaggy line awesome. Maybe because I'm still drinking my coffee, but I see a slinky when I look at it from afar. You know, the metal slinky we plaid with as kids :)
ReplyDeletePretty sweaters are always worthwhile investments. This thought process is why everyone in my family has approximately 4 kajillion sweaters apiece.
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll keep an eye out on my blog later today. I'll be featuring this as one of the looks I love today.

You're definitely allowed to be sweater obsessed when you keep finding awesome ones AND live somewhere that allows you to don them 9 months out of the year, haha.
ReplyDeleteWell, Gracey, it is a fabulous sweater and it looks great the way you've styled it. Makes dressing easy doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteGracey - I can understand why you couldn't pass this sweater up - it's fabulous and you look great from both sides :-) Love that you kept the rest of the outfit simple to showcase your sweater.
ReplyDeleteThat is a fantastic sweater - it makes me think of Tetris, weirdly, and also makes my eyes a bit googly. I love it when patterns on clothes do that :-)
ReplyDeleteWell, you if you are going to have an obsession, acquiring cool sweaters is as good a choice as any! You do have a fabulous collection, and this one is great, back and front!
ReplyDeleteWill you still be my friend if I confess that I don't own a single one? Pleeeeease say you'll forgive me! xxxx
you DO look awesome both coming and going. i love the pattern of this sweater, and even more so with the pattern of your shoes!
ReplyDeleteI can see why you had to have this! I have really been digging gray and the pattern is crazy good! I too have a bit of a thing for sweaters but why do they have to take up so much room????
ReplyDeleteXXOO
I think if you have a fashion blog in Oregon, you HAVE to be sweater obsessed! I love this one so much - the pattern is so unusual and fun. Darn you, stupid shopping ban! Otherwise I would be at Nordstrom Rack right now trying to find this sweater...
ReplyDeleteYou know what that sweater reminds me of? Dot-matrix printers. Including the noise. BZZZRRRRT BZZZZRRRT BZZZZZRT. So retro.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great sweater and an even better value. Love it with the shoes, too.
ReplyDeleteHow could you not buy that sweater? It is Amazing.

ReplyDeleteThis really works for you! The shoes are PERFECT with that sweater...very on trend!
ReplyDeleteHa, got the same issue with cardigans, just can't stop buying. But hey your sweater looks awesome! Makes me a bit wobbly in the knees when looking for a longer time, but oh so cool!! ;)
ReplyDeleteOoo what a trippy sweater! Super cool :) Kinda reminds me of Sheldon's (Big Bang Theory) Halloween costume as the Doppler Effect :p
