In fact, if I were to only have one black skirt in my closet
(yes, I know it’s a ridiculous premise, but hear me out) I think it’d be this
one. It’s one of my favorite pieces,
thrifted or otherwise. I like the
length, love the fact that it’s pleated and like that it plays well with both
neutrals and colors. Yes, keeping this
one is a no-brainer for sure.

I actually own only one black skirt and your exploration of the plethora in your closet is making me wonder if I might need a second slightly longer version. Hmmmm? I do love this one for all of the reasons you listed. Pleats are just great!

That really is a versatile skirt! I've yet to find a great basic skirt like that one. It's often hard for me to create an interesting outfit with a skirt.. but you did it well in all of these photos (my favorite one is the 3rd one though).
