Mostly because I like rhyming:
And pattern mixing. Which I guess means this look isn’t really basic
blue:
But, honestly, in spite of the mixed print blouse (Banana
Republic) paired with the polka dot blazer (Pendleton “Country Sophisticates,
thrifted) and the animal print shoes (80%20 via Piperlime) this feels like a
very basic outfit to me. I mean, it's just jeans (Banana
Republic), blouse and blazer, but it doesn't feel boring.
Thank goodness for pattern-mixing.
Happy Thursday, All!

Wow, those jeans are fantastic on you! And how fun is that blazer? The print mixing is awesome.

gracey, it's so professional and you look outstanding! you surpass basic. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a really cute blazer and I definitely don't think it looks like a simple outfit at all. Great pattern mixing and keeping it unique. It would be a totally different look with just a plain white scoop neck underneath. You probably wouldn't be very satisfied with that. Neither would I!
ReplyDeleteIts basic, but very well put-together, Gracey. I really love those jeans, they have a trouser-like look; a notch up from regular day to day jeans.
ReplyDeleteNow that is one fabulous blazer - love the dots!

ReplyDeleteHappy Friday! I can't really keep up sometimes.
ReplyDeleteThose little polka dots are so versatile, and pattern-mixing really does and zing to a simple combination. I can't really see the shoes, but they look cool. I need to get some - animal print shoes seem to be this year's red.
Your outfits are never basic. I love that about you. And I love all of your patterns in this outfit!
ReplyDeleteI agree with all the comments on the jeans! They're super flattering. :)I'm going to have to check out their Web site for myself. The blazer's cute, too!
ReplyDeleteI really like this outfit. You look smart and cute all at once. I'm a HUGE fan of pattern mixing and you nailed it!
