This outfit was inspired not by Pinterest, but by the pins on this outfit of the, well, fabulous, April, over at Knocked Up Fabulous:
Instead of a bright blue skirt (I think I packed mine for winter) I paired my cream sweater (thrifted, Goodwill) with my mocha-colored skirt (thrifted, Goodwill). I also added black tights (Spanx via Nordstrom), belt (thrifted, Goodwill) and boots (thrifted, Goodwill) and an infinity scarf (Steve Madden via Macys).
And, of course, I added a vintage brooch cluster (all via Lil' Gypsy Vintage):
I like how the scarf ties in the black boots and tights and love the little pop of red from the floral brooch. This is definitely something I'd wear again; perhaps next time with my blue skirt if I can remember where I put it.
Happy Wednesday, All! And Happy New Year!
Gracey

Gracey, I love the outfit and the grouping of pins! Very, very pretty! But you always look great; truly! xoxo Lynn PS -- Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteLovely, Gracey! My local vintage shop as a glass cabinet full of brooches, I am like a magpie, tapping at the glass. Haven't seen any as pretty as yours though, the red one is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute casual chic outfit and as usual you have paired it with your great smile! So I am not the only one that can't find clothes, I recently found my white cardigan but I am still missing some very loved jewelry!
ReplyDeleteHappy new year. I love the little cluster of brooches, but never think my brooches go well together. I must try it this year. x
ReplyDeleteI love this cute and cozy outfit! What a great idea to wear more than one brooch and the cute scarf brings everything together! Happiest of New Years to you!

Beautiful smooth mocha, and gorgeous pins! Happy New Year, Gracey - way to start it off looking fabulous!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of fabulous-ly funny, just checked the inspiration post - oh man!
DeleteHahaha, I know! The pin as nipple shield is hilarious!
DeleteThe accessories really make this outfit. I think if I were to wear broaches and a scarf I'd look like an old lady, but you totally pull it off!
ReplyDeleteOoooooh, sparkly, shiny group of loveliness. I'm a total brooch hound. I also covet your scarf, boots, and full, swirly-looking skirt.
ReplyDeleteYou seriously found those boots at Goodwill? I have a feeling I've been missing out on some great finds. Happy New Year from a new follower!
ReplyDeleteHey...this looks great! I was hoping that you'd be doing the can-can (You know...with pins on your girls, but this works well, too! ; )
ReplyDeleteReally digging it with the scarf! And thanks for the shout-out!

awesome outfit! Love the brooch cluster!
ReplyDeleteI hope you find your blue skirt, but I do love the taupe color of this one! I like it with the splash of red too.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Oh my I LOVE brooches! I don't wear them as often as I should. You put together the perfect little bunch of them, they are lovely :) This skirt is so pretty! It looks like such a great material and I really like the longer hemline on you. So pretty, lady :)
ReplyDeleteThe brooches are soooo pretty, especially the pearl one! I need to try pinning a few together myself, but I'm not sure they'd look this good.
ReplyDeleteI love the clustered broaches, such a great idea!
ReplyDeleteChic on the Cheap
Gorgeous Gracey! Love the simplicity of the outfit with a little added vintage sparkle from the brooches. They really do look lovely in a little cluster like that. Must remember to copy... Err, pay homage, darling! xxxx
ReplyDeleteI love your outfits! I have no idea how you find such great stuff at the Goodwill. I feel so overwhelmed every time I walk into that store, that I generally head straight for the purses, those I can handle.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love this outfit. That red flower brooch is TDF. You look so polished and chic and your smile is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable! And so perfect for the cold weather we've been having here in Oregon. I love that you tucked the front of the sweater into the skirt a little. The belt peeking out is an adorable detail!

I love the drape in this outfit. There's something together about it, but very playful and relaxed.
