This has to be one of my favorite color combinations:
I think it makes
sense because the two pieces have similar tones. But, let’s be honest, I totally could have
made that up.
I paired my tomato-red polka-dot blouse (vintage, thrifted)
with a violet skirt (thrifted and hemmed) and added black accents by way of a
skinny belt (Steve Madden via Ross) and mini-wedges (Seychelles). And then I added a yellow accent in the form
of a bracelet (Mississippi Street Fair vendor) because that also makes sense to
me.
Happy Tuesday, Everyone!
Gracey

Gracey, this outfit is AWESOMEBALLZ. I really love the collar of that tomato red top (and the polka dots!) and the pop of yellow is bril. Totes bril.

You look like a bowl of sorbet, in the very best of ways! The yellow pop on your wrist is the perfect dash of extra color, too. A true color-blocking pro!
ReplyDeleteEek, so cute! It's a fav blend of mine too...those bright shades close together in the colour family just make each other shine even brighter. Plus the style of that top really looks amazing with a pencil skirt. Love it!

Loooooove iiiiiiiit~ I love unconventional color pairings...color is so much easier to me than patterns. I am making notes in my head, although I think I need precisely 100% more violet garments than I have now in order to try this.
ReplyDeleteYou can never go wrong with bright colours (especially when you add a dash of yellow!) Love this skirt- makes me realize how much I need a violet skirt in my wardrobe!
ReplyDeletePerfect combo! What a cool top. Happy Tuesday to you too - have a great rest of the week:)
ReplyDeleteThat color combo looks pretty legit to me! I love it.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this and you've got some great gams girl!!

I like it! Of course, I'm being a weirdo and wanting to cut and hem the sleeves off that shirt because I still can't understand how sleeves don't bother people. I have the weirdest phobias! *closet consists of 80% sleeveless shirts/dresses*

Super cool color combo and the yellow braclet...perfection.
ReplyDeleteI love this color combo - have worn a similar combo before. One of my faces. I seriously love the dotted blouse. You always find the best thrifts, lady! Seriously. I love that dress you wore...was it last week? The purple printed one you couldn't wait to wear. Genius!
ReplyDeleteWow, what an interesting combination. I would never try that because I lack your imagination. Looks nice.
ReplyDeleteCute combo!!! Love this!!

I never would have thought to put this together, but I LOVE it. Also, you have the greatest shoes.
ReplyDeleteI never would have thought to pair these two colors, but I absolutely LOVE how they look together!! You're a genius. =)
ReplyDeleteThis totally works. Those colors are perfect together. Polka dots are fab. That blouse is so feminine and cute. Great outfit.
